1. Book your session with Ajax Furtography

Let’s chat about details! Once you decide to book your session, we can chat about the where & the when it will all take place. Ideally I like to plan on scheduling 2 locations for your pup with one of them being at your home. Most pups are more comfortable in their familiar surroundings, so home makes for a great starting point for your session. Next we’ll chat about venturing  to your favorite locale of Fido’s choice. Whether, it’s just for a walk or a trip to your secret swimming hole, I’m game! And though a dog park may be one of your furkid’s all time favorite places to go, it’s not the best location for a photo shoot. Too much stimuli & distractions are bound to occur at the local dog park. And after all, we want your pup to be the star of the show! Lastly, we’ll schedule a raindate for inclement weather. We do live in New England, so raindates are a must (sometimes 2 raindates are in order).

2. Primp & pamper your pooch for their session

Once we have the where & the when nailed down, time to prepare for your session. Grooming & bathing is always a perfect idea to have your pooch looking their best for “picture day”. Though if your furkid is anything like Jaxon, he will have running in the mud & swimming in the river on the menu for the day’s events, so primping per say wouldn’t work in his case. As for yourself? Yup, primping is in order for you too. It’s important for me to document the bond you two share, so I’ll have you make a bit of a cameo within the session. As for the human kids & significant others? YES! Let’s add them into the mix too, the more the merrier!

3. Picture day!

Prior to your session, make sure your pup has gotten his/her “ya-ya’s” out of their system. And by “ya-ya’s”, I mean make sure that your furkid has had a nice long walk to expend some of their energy. I like to give special treats during the session, (mainly for bribing of course) so make sure your pup does not have a full stomach before “go time”. Is your furkid not interested in food? No problem! I come equipped with toys & am well versed in making crazy noises to capture that perfect head tilt. Most importantly your session will be FUN FUN FUN! I haven’t met a pup that I haven’t fallen in love with yet. After all, you do have the best doggie in the world, don’t you? I know I do…heck we all do! The session is you & your furkid’s time to shine!

4. Swoon!

One week after your session, your customized smart phone app will be ready to download to your phone. This is a mini teaser of what’s to come! Within two weeks of your session, we will set up a time for your in home viewing & ordering session. I will bring prints, albums, canvases & lots of other fancy products so you can touch, see & feel before purchasing. This will be a one time viewing of your images, so it’s best to make sure that all decision makers are present for your in home viewing & ordering session. It’s best to make a night of it. Grab a sitter for the little ones if need be & let me help don your walls with beautiful artwork of your family!

5. Delivery day

Once your order is fulfilled & ready for you, (and if possible), I will personally deliver it to your home. This is really just a secret mission that I’m on to have a reason to visit your furkid again! In all seriousness, I love seeing the joy & happiness as I unveil the finished product to you…for me it’s the ultimate gratification. I stand by my products 100% so if you’re not happy with something, you let me know & I’ll make it right! For me, it’s all about creating the best work possible. I strive to achieve bringing to life in images what you create through love. My wish for you is to cherish this moment in time with your best friend.
